Spraying Glaze

Spraying on glaze is a great way to get even glaze coverage and is the best way to glaze really large pieces with dip and pour glazes. You can create beautiful layered effects and create seamless transitions from one glaze to the next.

Tools & Materials

Bisqued pots to glaze
Glaze, dipping and pouring glazes work best, thinned down to the consistency of milk
Paint Spry gun, either a Siphon feed or gravity feed
air compressor; a 5 or more gallon air compressor is recommended. I use a 10 gallon
Spray Booth
Banding wheel
Half mask respirator with p100 cartridges
Safety glasses
Sponge
Bucket of water
Deli dishes for storing thinned down glazes
