Practical Glaze Chemistry

A three part workshop with Andrew Seymour of Clayscapes Pottery on the basics of developing and making your very own glazes at home.

Each class will be broadcast live from 6pm to 7:30pm Eastern on its day and will be available for replay starting shortly after the broadcast ends.

People taking the workshop will have permanent access to the content.

Class 1: Prep and Materials – Aug 14, 2020 – 6pm – 7:30pm Eastern
Reviewing the materials that make up a glaze, a short description of what each material does and how it’s used in the glaze making process.

Class 2: Blend vs Base – Aug 21, 2020 – 6pm – 7:30pm Eastern
How do you want to go about your testing process. Volumetric Blends or Base Formula tinkering?

Class 3: Review, Refine, Re-Test – Aug 28, 2020 – 6pm – 7:30pm Eastern
Review the results of your efforts (what to look for), make any changes you want, and continue with the testing process.
